Bowls Sub Club (Bundaberg)
The Waves Bowls Club Bundaberg is a sporting club, with bowling days held at The Waves Sports Complex, Thabeban Street, Bundaberg. Bowling days are on Wednesday (third Wednesday of the month is money day), Friday (second Friday of the month is money day) and Saturday afternoons, and the afternoon of the first Thursday of each month being a club money day. This Sub Club conducts singles, pairs, triples and teams social events, as well as playing inter club and District events. Social bowls functions are also available for community organisations or businesses.
Coaching is provided on a Tuesday morning starting at 10:00am.
Bowls are played at The Waves Sports Complex, Thabeban Street, with facilities available being:
- Clubhouse with modern amenities, including public bar and kitchen.
- Two quality artificial bowling greens which can cater for up to 32 teams of pairs, triples or teams of fours at any given time, with shade covers and lighting to enable night bowls.
- Junior and senior, ladies and gents bowls.
- Social competition, Presidents day, Patrons day and competition money incentives.
- School programs are available.
Lawn bowls is a game of etiquette, finesse and precision, all within a fun and no contact competitive environment. Lawn bowls creates entertainment, friendship and unites people of all demographics into a genuine and competitive relationship, centred around a sport that requires the keenest of eye and the slightest of grace to perfect. Meet new people each day and enjoy conversation and excitement and many new friendships. Members of The Waves Mens Bowls Club play for relaxation, commitment, exercise, fun and competition.
Try something new this weekend. Bring the whole family or a handful of friends. Enjoy a game of lawn bowls and drink at the end of the game!
$10 green fees for a games of bowls, with complimentary tea and coffee provided to all players. Open to the public every Saturday.
Lawn bowls lessons are available for anyone wishing to learn, provided by a qualified coach. Try ‘barefoot bowls’ for your next function booking.
